Can't see Traps or Palo Alto in Windows Control Panel. Could it have another name?

I'm beginning to wonder if you even have Traps Agent installed - see my penultimate post ......

When you have a chance to pass on critical information when contacting a Support Site, Please share it. As nothing to start with, Nothing. Not ta !

Please give self a scan : https://www.malwarebytes.com/ If that fails please grab your Bookmarks as per below or just grab you Profile. as well as delete cracked programs or cracks

Refresh but Note that this does more than uninstalling and re-installing does. Normal uninstalling does not remove some preferences which may have become corrupt.

Please Refresh but do this 1st:

then

Continue with this or go to Malwarebytes Forum

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance

Some problems occur when your Internet security program was set to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow Firefox to connect to the Internet again;

  • Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version).
  • Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs. For detailed instructions, see

Configure firewalls so that Firefox can access the Internet. {web link}

I have run Malwarebytes and quarantined a Microsoft file it identified but Firefox still won't open. I can't see how to Refresh or try in Safe Mode because the buttons wont work outside Firefox which I can't open.

Hi, please try : uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files , C:\Program Files(x86) & C:\ProgramData Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. (Note: This should be Pinned and run Weekly, If never done below expect 10's of gig's) Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do :

Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 62.0.0 with a Full Version Installer

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

It looks like your Firefox was stored in the C:\Program Files folder. That is why you could not find it. Follow Pkshadow's instructions;

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1233907#answer-1154713

And let us know the results.

Note: I recommend you delete the Firefox Installer that is listed and download the current, unless you want a different Firefox.

I have repeated search for Firefox.exe files and nothing found but re-installed Firefox still doesn't open so I guess Traps is the issue. Thanks

I've been given you the advice to either upgrade or uninstall Traps Agent, merely based on the header of your original question.

If it can't be found anywhere on your system : do you remember installing Traps Agent  ? And if so : do you remember how you installed it  ?

If Traps Agent is not the cause of Firefox not starting, maybe you could take a look at this article (in case this happens since the last update) :

Finally Firefox has now opened after repetitively uninstalling and re-installing. Maybe the repeated Windows Disk Cleanup has got rid of a corrupt file. Firefox stopped working suddenly while I was using Etihad website. Thanks for your help all.

I sure am glad that you finally got Firefox to open  !

I noticed that you marked my post as Chosen Solution, but I didn't really solve your problem - you did that all by yourself (great job  !)

You can remove the Chosen Solution mark from my post by clicking on the "Undo" button to the right of that post and then mark your own (last)
post ......
