Is Sept. 5 still the last day that firefox will support vista?
Is Sept. 5 the last day Fire Fox will support Vista? Has there been another extension?
Chosen solution
The version of Firefox you currently have will continue to run, however you won't receive any further updates. Your Operating system hasn't received a security update in over a year, so it's already not safe to use. You should update to Windows 7 or 10 (i recommend 10), buy a new computer, or switch to linux.

Sept 5 is the date when the current versions will then be 62.0 Release and 60.2.0 ESR.
The 52.9.0 ESR will be EOL as there are no more updates planned for the legacy Firefox 52 ESR.
Firefox 52 ESR was made for Enterprise users in mind as it was a bonus in being a option for Windows XP and Vista users to still have a version that got security and allowed stability fixes for a while longer.
Firefox 53.0 and later does not run on the EOL Windows XP and Vista.
