why is my logon screen not formatted on Firefox but it on Chrome?
I play games on a site called Pogo. Anyone can access it, and its free. BUT, just lately they have update the login page and I can no longer sign in. It works fine on my wife's windows laptop, but gives an unformatted display on my Mac. use https://www.pogo.com/?sl=2 then try to use the register or the sign in link in the top right of the screen and voila.... The 2 screen views are below. They are following the same path, just different browsers. I would appreciate it if someone can help with why this happens, and what settings I can change to fix the problem.

Something seems to be blocked in the page.
Q1: Has your Firefox had trouble connecting to any secure sites?
Q2: Will your Firefox load the following style sheet or do you get an error:
The expected result is a wall of text with this on the second line:
* OTK v1.2.23 (http://docs.x.origin.com)
Could you tell us more about this extension, what is does, where it came from:
Safe Browsing version 1.0.13
More generally, you can view, disable, and often remove unwanted or unknown extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:
- Command+Shift+a (Windows: Ctrl+Shift+a)
- "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
- type or paste about:addons in the address bar and press Enter/Return
In the left column of the Add-ons page, click Extensions.
Then cast a critical eye over the list on the right side. Any extensions Firefox installs for built-in features are hidden from this page, so everything listed here is your choice (and your responsibility) to manage. Anything suspicious or that you just do not remember installing or why? If in doubt, disable (or remove).
Thanks for your reply
safe browsing is a google add on and is to stop phishing. apparently its safe. I've got practically no addons nor extensions. 3 of each. None of which should affect the screen.
I also got the expected wall of text. All 3 images are attached below.
Safe Browsing shows for me when search for it that it is not compatible with Quantum. Please go to it's site and and confirm or post the URL please.
Are you going to Pogo with the VPN ? If so turn it off and go or better yet please do this : SAFE MODE
In Firefox Safe mode these changes are effective:
- all extensions are disabled (about:addons)
- default theme is used (no persona)
- userChrome.css and userContent.css are ignored (chrome folder)
- default toolbar layout is used (file: localstore-safe.rdf)
- hardware acceleration is disabled (Options > Performance > Uncheck to view)
- plugins are not affected
- preferences are not affected
TEST''''is issue still there ?

The way it is described on the Add-ons page, it integrates with the address bar as an alternative search engine, so I doubt it's from Google. Maybe they extract results from Google, or maybe they really use Yahoo/Bing. Anyway, because it has to be triggered with the keyword p I don't think that would affect Pogo.

Okay, so if Firefox can retrieve the style sheet, why isn't it applying those rules? Hmm...
Maybe the problem is a different file won't load. If you have a little more patience left, try the Network Monitor. To open it the lower part of the tab on the EA signin page, you can use either:
- "3-bar" menu button > Web Developer > Network
- (menu bar) Tools > Web Developer > Network
- (Mac) Command+option/alt+e
Then reload the page using Command+Shift+r to bypass the cache. Firefox should start listing all the files it is requesting, along with information about whether the request was successful. A "200" is the good result; a "301" or "302" is a redirect and should be followed by another request with a good result.
Do you notice anything not loading?
I used the safemode as suggested by Pkshadow and I've managed to get a formatted screen and now I can log in. Now its a question of what the hell is the problem. I'll try to find it based on the difference between safe and non-safe modes......should find it eventually.
I know its not VPN since its not in use. I'll start with the Java and the hardware accelerator I guess
Thanks a lot for the help.
