Cannot use macbook pro trackpad to zoom in. Why not?

I have a macbook pro 13 inch 2017 build, with a trackpad. But I can't use the trackpad to zoom into or out of pages when using Firefox, in the same way I do with Safari. Is there a way to fix this, or is there an add-on I can download?

I tried downloading an add-on called "multi-touch zoom" by haxiomics, but can't get it to install or work, the entire process seems very confusing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
