thuderbird 52.9.1 (32-bit) email message hangs when: 1)forward message, 2) click on Insert menu (repeatable). Recommendations? NOTE: Thunderbird app doesn't hang, ONLY the email message hangs, meaning it is orphaned.

Did you test https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/safe-mode-thunderbird ?

Thank you for the suggestion. I forgot about that obvious first troubleshooting step.

In Safe mode, the problem did not occur. HOWEVER, after returning to Normal mode, the problem ALSO did not recur. If the problem returns, I'm set to troublshoot

UPDATE. Problem still occurs, even in Safe-Mode. I really would like to see it fixed. I frequently clean-up email before forwarding.
