Can't view specific history dates or display times in 61.0.1

Posted

I do a lot of online surveys and often need to retrieve specific events or range of events from history. Sometimes it takes a week for survey support to respond. By then there are thousands of page visits as I work through survey lists. This makes it very daunting to reconstruct history. I've pull up all history and look at the "added" column and it checked off in the drop down but the fields are blank in the history page, the entire page is devoid of and time information. There are difficulties copying the information that I do find, often it opens the page, which do not want to happen. completed or expired surveys will not reload.

IF I can export the entire history file to excel or CSV, I think could work with that

The OS is uptodate

The Added column is only for bookmarks and not for history. For history you need the most recent visit column. If this column isn't visible in the History Manager (Library) then you need to enable it. Firefox only shows the last visit and if you do not want to create a new history entry then you can use a new private browsing mode window.

Is there an extension that will capture all history and can output to a file or spreadsheet?

There is a Nirsoft utility for Windows that has more history features, but I'm not aware of such an option for Mac and Linux. You would have to use an SQLite manager application and create a specific sqlite query to get this data.
