This problem appears many time in your archives but has never been adequately answered. Response from Mozilla is that the windows volume is set low (mine is Ubuntu and it is set high) or that the application volume (presumably flash) that appears under the video is set low (it is set at maximum). But users like me report that this problem is unique to Mozilla Firefox and things are fine with Chrome, which they are for me. Does Mozilla really care if it keeps giving its brush-off answer?

Hi, why it is never adequately answered is that it unique to each system as to what drivers are being used, on-board chip and what does the motherboard maker want used as drivers, what has the person installed as others will work also., or separate sound card, what company what version ect......

Linux, Windows, Mac, so yea it is not easy to pin down. As for Linux do you know what sound drivers you are running, what version and what was the original drivers for it out of the box ?
