I want to change the location where the downloads are stored on android so I can use a SD card for downloads.
Sometimes it works if I change the android settings (for storing), but that isn't working at the moment. (at least for firefox) The internal tablet storage space is nearly full, and firefox stores downloads still there. Need help!

To do this, you need to change some advanced Firefox settings using the advanced configuration page. To do this, follow these steps:
- Type
about:config
in the Firefox address bar - Search for the
browser.download.folderList
preference - Change the value from the default
1
to2
- Now press the plus button on the page to make a new preference
- Set the name to
browser.download.dir
- Tap on 'Boolean and select String
- Change the value to the download location that you want files to be saved to
The location depends on your device. The path will look something like:
/sdcard/Downloads
This will save all files to a folder called Downloads on your device's internal storage (confusing, I know, because it says SD Card). You may run into issues trying to get Firefox to access the SD card in your device though because most devices will require you to have root access in order to write a file to the external storage device.
NOTE: To remove the download location settings from Firefox, click the Reset button for thebrowser.download.folderList
andbrowser.download.dir
preferences.
