I'm a new user of thunderbird as i wanted a good reliable alternative to WLM 2012 which was constantly being affected by win10 updates.

Now I'm really wishing I hadn;'t chosen thunderbird.

Not only am I continuing to have mails deleted from my inbox from one email imap server set up exactly the same as another provider (and my emails don't get deleted from that), but now I find when I try to send an email with several attachments (totalling 20MB real space, thunderbird reports this as 38MB - and is rejected by my server.

Nothing but problems.

I've tried. I really have.

Thunderbird. It's game over.

You truly are an appalling piece of software.

Never thought I'd say it, but I was better off with WLM

FFS.

So you download and install pre-release, beta software instead of the stable, general release version and you get mad because it has a bug or two.

Good luck with the new software.

It's more than a bug or two - it's hopeless, clunky and frustrating. I've d/l eM client, it automatically downloaded all my saved folders and nothing is getting deleted and no "add-ons" to install. The only disadvantage is I can only have 2 email accounts - but that i can live with.

It's simply just better programming.

Many thanks for your help, but I'm well sorted now and very happy. And it literally did everything as part of the initial install. No headaches at all.
