I purchased the FireShot Pro app & use it often daily, but Mozilla says it's incompatible with 59.0.3; does this mean I can never upgrade?

more options

My computer is an aging (yet feisty) Acer desktop with Intel 1800 processor, 500GB hard drive, & 4GB DDR3 memory. It's running Windows 365. {Disclaimer: I've just copied all that off the side of the tower & have no idea what I'm talking about.}

I have neurological dystrophy, so I try to keep things simple for those days when my brain goes blank. I tried the FireShot app & it worked so well for me - plus, I didn't get confused halfway through. I use this app several times a day, so ethically, I felt compelled to purchase the Pro version. NONE of the other screenshot apps work nearly as well for me, plus, I've paid $40 for this app & can't afford to toss it.

When Mozilla says the Pro version isn't supported for this new upgrade, does that mean it won't ever be supported in the future? Or does it mean that I can just wait a bit and load the next upgrade? If not, what do you suggest? I've tried other browsers, and I won't use anything except Firefox.

Also, is there any way to prevent Microsoft's God-awful built-in browser (the Edge) from nosing into everything? It really wants to get into my business & interrupts my Internet connections sometimes because I insist on using Firefox. Yes, Microsoft is the Anti-Christ, I know.

Thanks for your patience & any advice you have.

Hi, not to worry about Westend. It is also ok to ask more than 1 question and feel free to do so or start a new question if subject warrants it.

Hi, you would have to contact Firehots Developer https://getfireshot.com/sup/ and ask them.

Firefox has built in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-screenshots Save local.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

For Win10 please use Settings --> Apps --> Default Apps and find Browser in the list. If it is Edge please click on it and change to Firefox

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Do you have the latest update to FireShot? I think it's this one:

Thank you for your suggestions. I'll try all of them.

And especially thank you for the solution to my "added-on" question about Microsoft's God-awful browser. I'll try that solution today, too.

You guys absolutely rock! Thanks again!

@KindButProne2Political, let's leave tic-for-tact browser wars out of this help request. It does no Browser any service doing so.

@WestEnd - I'm trying to get a better grasp of this support site. I understand now that I should only ask a question about one subject at a time. I'll follow that rule in the future. I also think I have a better understanding of how to search & find answers that might already be listed.

However, using the descriptive phrase "Microsoft's God-awful browser" was merely my opinion based solely on the problems I've experienced since purchasing Office 365. I've used Word exclusively since XP was released.

I don't believe I knew that browser wars really exist. However, in all fairness, as neurological disease moves through my brain, portions of what I DID know disappear. So I'll just say that I would never deliberately make a comment (in a forum like this) designed to upset or provoke anyone. I'm sorry you thought otherwise.

Your username is enough to raise hackles here. We don't need "political" or "rage" around here. This is a no politics zone, whether it be real politics or views critical of web browsers. We get it, you don't like Edge; mention it once and then get beyond it.

You are free to ask as many questions pertaining to Firefox support that you wish, but please leave the "browser bashing" to one mention, if you must resort to "bashing" at all.
