Yahoo isn't a program, it's a website, so it can't be uninstalled.

Are you trying to open the website? Please give some more context as to what issue you are seeing.

Thanks for the quick response. Yahoo doesn't completely load. Little square buffering thingy shows up. This may be a problem with my computer cause another moderator (Bill) tried to assist me last month. Almost everything is buffering or response time is long. I'm old so anything too complicated is beyond me. I tried system restore several times but same problems. I guess I could keep restoring till I get way back in time or else do a complete recovery. Again, thanks. Elizabeth Guise

PS I've gone to Windows help and Dell support to no avail.

Hello,

The Refresh feature (called "Reset" in older Firefox versions) can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your bookmarks, history, passwords, cookies, and other essential information.

Note: When you use this feature, you will lose any extensions, toolbar customizations, and some preferences. See the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article for more information.

To Refresh Firefox:

  1. Open the Troubleshooting Information page using one of these methods:
    • Click the menu button New Fx Menu, click help Help-29 and select Troubleshooting Information. A new tab containing your troubleshooting information should open.
    • If you're unable to access the Help menu, type about:support in your address bar to bring up the Troubleshooting Information page.
  2. At the top right corner of the page, you should see a button that says "Refresh Firefox" ("Reset Firefox" in older Firefox versions). Click on it.
  3. Firefox will close. After the refresh process is completed, Firefox will show a window with the information that is imported.
  4. Click Finish and Firefox will reopen.

Did this fix the problem? Please report back to us!

Thank you.

It didn't work. I'm just going to do a System Restore later. I appreciate your help. I have to go out now so 'll futz around with this when I come back. I'm retired so I have the time. Have a great day Tyler..

System restore probably won't fix this. I wouldn't suggest that.

Can you post a screenshot of what yahoo.com looks like? How do I create a screenshot of my problem?

more options

OK got the screenshot but it went to clipboard and I don't know how to access that. If you could just explain how to get it and send it to you I would appreciate it. Problem is, I'm running out of time (Dr.appt) so I'll have to continue this quest later today. Sorry for any inconvenience to you. E Guise

You can simply paste your screenshot here, right-click then click "Paste". It should paste the link here

okay I get cut and paste but where do I locate the clipboard? Neverused it.

more options

Clipboard is the invisible place Windows stores anything you've cut and pasted.

Hi Tyler-I am still searching for clipboard. Answers @Windows refer to WinXP and that it is not installed on Win7. ?? I know I came across it once while working on my problem but can't remember where. Anywhoo, I'm done. Thanks for your patience and help. E Guise

It's very simple, copy the screenshot URL and then paste it here. Clipboard is just another word for "Copy paste"

Downloaded Clipboard to documents. Tried to copy but didn't work. I may try the snipping tool but have to learn how. If I ever get this figured out I'll let you know.

Can you just take a screenshot using the built in Firefox screenshot tool, and then copy and paste the link to it here?

more options

I did take the screenshot. It is now in my doc folder on CB. But I can't copy/paste it. When I took the ss I thought a window would open so I could send it but no go. I'm putting in my add-ons at the moment. I'll try another SS later. I need a drink.

Hi Tyler. Me again. Maybe you could help me with something else. My theme(s) don't show up at the top of my tabs. Someone gave me instructions months ago and I printed it but cannot find it now. Thanks, E Guise

Hi Elizabeth, for the screenshot, now that you have a file saved, you can attach it to your next reply. Below the text box is a Browse... button. You can point Firefox toward whatever folder you saved it in.

For the theme on your tabs, there is a section of the Add-ons page called Themes where you can view your currently installed themes and switch among them. There's also a link at the top to go to the Add-ons site and look for new/additional ones.

To call up the Add-ons page, either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a (Mac: Command+Shift+a)
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
  • type or paste about:addons in the address bar and press Enter/Return

In the left column of the Add-ons page, click Themes.

One other comment:

Yahoo sometimes changes its addresses, so if you are using an old link, old bookmark, or old home page setting for Yahoo, try going through the front page at

https://www.yahoo.com/

and see whether that works any better.

EDIT The link doesn't work. If I put Yahoo.com into search (google) it comes up but comments/discussions are un-accessible.
