How to stop downloads from always prompting me to wait and then click "save" button? (Firefox Quantum 60.0.1) macOS 10.13.4
Aggghhhhh this is the most infuriating bug/glitch/whatever you call it. No matter what options i enable or disable firefox ALWAYS puts a stupid prompt window pop up every time i attempt to download a file. For example from the site https://www.flaticon.com where i want to download a lot of files this gets insanely frustrating! Chrome and Safari do not have this issue. I've read their one little support article that says you can change what firefox does when downloading certain files, however theres no option for me to input a file type such as .svg or anything other than the few options they have. Please please please give me a fix because as it stands firefox is un-use able for me.

Hi, are you not getting the below options ?
Nope, saw that article too, and there are never options, here's a screenshot of the exact dialog i get
^ that same exact link results in an instant download on either chrome or safari so there's something wrong with FireFox.
Do you have a program installed that opens SVG files ? Is it associated to a command in Applications. It is not giving you the option as Firefox does not have something associated to the file to open it.
Yeah i have about a dozen different apps that deal with that file type, Adobe Illustrator CC 2018, Photoshop, Bridge, Preview, etc. More importantly this seems like a fundamental flaw with the latest Firefox that I have to set this magical preference for EACH new filetype I wish to download...
You may want to switch to a Extension : https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/download-via-idm/
I use a one that really increases the speed but is a little bit of a hassle to use called iGetter where you Right Click and copy link location, click the plus sign and it sees it in the mouse and then the arrow key and poof 200megs or gigs in minutes.
