Why? Your IP address is common property. What shady covert things are you doing? ;-)

If you have a legitimate reason to hide you should be using tor or a vpn. Obfuscation of your own IP address will still leave a breadcrumb trail back to your ISP or email providers' servers.

Some users argue that exposing even the local non-routeable address reveals information about the structure of your LAN that might be useful to an attacker. If you really want to change this one address, open the configuration editor and search for HELO. You can set it to some fixed address. Be aware that if this address is not consistent with your messages' routing, they may be marked by some security systems as spoofed and therefore untrustworthy.

I want to publish some personal informations and I don't want the most people seeing my IP and searching for who I am. I don't care about provider or police. It's not something illegal! Can you be more specific??
