Hello we switched from IBM Notes desktop mail client to Microsoft 360 web application. Now I installed Thunderbird portable on my computer and I can access and send e-mails trough microsoft's servers.

But now I need to access the directory of e-mails address so i can search these addresses in Thunderbird. But i am not sure about how to do it. I think it's related to LDAP directory servers but the information requested there is a big mystery.

I need to create a New LDAP Directory with the following things:

Name: (Can i use whatever I want?) Hostname: (Is it something I already know?) Base DN: (What is that?) Port Number: 389 (Could it be something else?) Bind DN: (What is that?) Use secure connection SSL (yes or no)

I am not sure if some of these information are provided by Microsoft (common knowledge) of by our technical support. Technical support is not very eager helping me setting up Mozilla when they just signed a contract with MS.. and Microsoft won't give me support for Thunderbird (I guess) so I need to figure things out all by myself. (Still Thunderbird is working but without the addresses it's kind of counter productive to use)

I would be glad to get so help and I'll learn in the same time.

Thanks.

You'll need to talk to your corporate IT folks about the correct LDAP settings.
