Firefox app now appears on my iPhone. When I press it, all I get is the same logo on a full screen. How does the app work

I don't know how the app works. It has been loaded onto my iPhone but the only thing that happens when I depress the icon is that the same icon appears again on a full screen with message "Thanks for choosing Firefox". How do I actually get it to work?
