How can I make the developer tools track the current open window?

1) I would like the developer tools window to stay open and update to reflect the currently active page in firefox, but I have been frustrated in my attempts to find a solution to this seemingly simple issue. This is a significant and unwelcome change since upgrading from my previous version.

2) When the console is not open, I would like to see a count of errors, that same way that FireBug would show. This was I can quickly assess if opening the developer tools for that page might be useful.

3) I would like to see a 1-click method to open the developer tools. Any pane is fine but more than 1 click to open the window is too much. This was also a useful feature for firebug.

You can open the Developer Toolbar (Shift+F2) to have easy access to the other tools. This toolbar also show an error count.

The user agent shows 52.0. Do you have "Resist Fingerprinting" enabled?
