why does firefox changes my prefered language from English to Maltese?
I have tried many times to set my preferred language as English. I enter www.google.com ,and the browser decides to change this to www.google.com.mt. If we carry on like this I think that I will stop using Firefox!. Please, please do something about this problem.

HI, do what you have to do. Did you install the Maltese Version or the English version. are you in Malta ? Do you have any Maltese Language packs or Dictionary ?
Can try this : uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files , C:\Program Files(x86) & C:\ProgramData Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. (Note: This should be Pinned and run Weekly, If never done below expect 10's of gig's) Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do :

Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 59.0.2 with a Full Version Installer
Note the Profile could be causing the issue and you will have to Make a new one and test ...:
If is your Profile :

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Try google.com/ncr
It is not Firefox but Google doing the redirect.
Where are you located? Are you using a proxy or VPN that might you get located on Malta?
You can use websites like these to see how your location is reported via a reverse DNS look up of your IP:
