Why does uninstalling and reinstalling FF delete my tabs in Opera>

Posted

I regularly use FF and often use Opera. I had to uninstall FF and reinstall FF 51. Somehoe, that caused Opera to lose its tabs. These shouldn't have anything to do with each other, should they?

Firefox's own uninstaller shouldn't touch any other browser's program or data folders. It also doesn't remove Firefox's data folders. However, after a rollback, when the older version of Firefox encounters your existing profile, data may be changed/deleted because newer file formats may be invalid and unusable in older versions.
