What's your computer system?

Are you sure Firefox was never installed on that computer?

Using your file browser, open the Programs Folder on your computer.

Windows: C:\Program Files C:\Program Files (x86)

Mac: Open the "Applications" folder. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-download-and-install-firefox-mac

Linux: Check your user manual. If you installed Firefox with the distro-based package manager, you should use the same way to uninstall it. See Install Firefox on Linux; https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/install-firefox-linux

If you downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder Firefox in your home directory. http://www.mozilla.org/firefox#desktop ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Look for, and remove any Mozilla or Firefox program folders. Do not remove the Mozilla Thunderbird folder if there is one.

I have a windows 10 os. There is a Mozilla file there although i don't recall downloading it, i did download tor browser before. I figured out how to fix it sort of. it's a svchost.exe virus there's videos on youtube on what to do. you have to disable windows automatic updates in your task manager this has stopped it from starting up and has sped up my laptop

It sounds like you have it under control, but two notes:

(1) Tor browser uses some code from Mozilla.

(2) This article lists various cleaning tools other Firefox users have found helpful: Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware.

The only time the url deviates from what you set for HomePage would be a install you installed - installed it's own redirect and to restore it would be to remove the last software you installed that brought about the change. Otherwise you need to look at your Uninstaller Control Panel and find the unknown software and remove it to restore your HomePage back. I've seen this and if you can remove it the Homepage comes back. Otherwise you will have to look online to find help on how to restore Homepage back from redirects to find a solution to kill the offending program.
