Can thunderbird be customised to send messages behind the scenes? Meaning once I hit send, I get the sending window and have to wait until it closes to proceed.
I have converted to Thunderbird from Outlook and have been getting used to it. One thing that I would like to change is how it sends out my messages. Once I hit send on my message, I get the sending window pop up.. and while it sends fine, I cant read or write other messages until that message has been sent.

To change a preference, open Tools/Options/Advanced/General/Config. editor, paste the preference into the search, then right-click, Modify, or double-click to toggle a binary pref., OK to close Options.
