I have spent 2 HOURS today dealing with this nonsense. Among other problems, every time I installed an old version, the installer installed 56 instead. NOBODY decides what I run on MY COMPUTER other than ME. NOT MICROSOFT, NOT APPLE, NOT ADOBE, AND CERTAINLY NOT MOZILLA. Yet Mozilla saw fit to force feed me the virus they call version 56.

1. I have completely lost the theme I was using. It doesn't show up in themes. I do not know the name of the theme. It must still exist somewhere in appData, Where can I find it?

2. I want version 53.0.2. Before you ask, it doesn't matter why. Where can I find it? I installed what I THOUGHT was 53.0.2 from my hard drive, and it installed 56. Where can I find 53.0.2?

3. I am currently running 47.0.2, THANK GOD for the people at OLDVERSION.COM. However, I can't install one of my add-ons (Image Context Menu). I don't care if you think it's insecure. I HANDLE MY COMPUTER SECURITY. NO ONE ELSE. I set xpinstall.signatures.required to false, and Image Context Menu STILL won't install.

Yes, I'm very very very pissed off. But not at the volunteers here. At Mozilla for force feeding me a program I don't want. THEY CAME INTO MY HOME AND MESSED WITH MY COMPUTER. Whomever it was at Mozilla that authorized this should be fired. And burn in Hell.

Thank you

The current release of Firefox is 57, not 56.

1. Was it a full theme that made lots of changes -- check Extensions -- or just the top image?

2. There's a server with all the old versions. See: Install an older version of Firefox (Directory link).

3. xpinstall.signatures.required is relevant to unverified/unsigned extensions. Are you sure that's the problem? See: Unable to install add-ons (extensions or themes).

If you want to use a older version like 53.0 then at least consider the Firefox 52 ESR. It is currently at 52.5.3esr and the last security/stability update is likely to be 52.9.0esr out in July. https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/organizations/all/
