After install of 57.0 my browser was unusable, very very slow, I have reverted back to 56.0.2. Any ideas as to why?

I did read about disabling my add-ons to improve the speed, but I didn't do that since I only have a couple. I use SQLite Manager a lot, I guess the Amazon one can go, but that isn't really the point.

This faster, newer, better Firefox is supposed to be amazing, but for me it is not.

I have reverted back to 56.0.2 and disabled automatic updates, now I'm back to working again.

hi, thanks for reporting this. can you try if this change can workaround the performance problem once you update to 57?: go to the firefox menu ≡ > options > privacy & security panel and under permissions check the setting to prevent accessibility services from accessing your browser.

I re-installed 57 and it took me about ten minutes to get to the option above (prevent accessibility services from accessing your browser) and enable it....After the reboot it's been several minutes and things are working great!

So yes, that did it.
