How do I remove Pocket from Firefox entirely?
I mean, remove it from the code of the browser?
Nothing about Pocket is appealing to me, and I would prefer to never have to deal with it again.

Pocket is an extension. You can disable it using the method described by Mkll. (See also Disable or re-enable Pocket for Firefox -- "Disable Pocket for Firefox" section.)
If you want to delete the Pocket extension file itself (consequences unknown!), it's here (may vary between 32-bit or 64-bit):
C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\browser\features C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\browser\features
Most likely you would need to repeat that after each update.
If you use the "Activity Stream" feature on the new tab page, that will contain a section of content sourced from Pocket. That is not related to the Pocket extension and can be disabled using the sprocket icon on the Activity Stream page.

Hello you can remove pocket completely by going to about:config and changing this boolean: extensions.pocket.enabled to false by double clicking on it. You can search for it in about config by copying and pasting the name of the boolean into the search bar in about:config like in the screen shot below.
