Hi. Just recently I've been unable to send to @gmail or @icloud from my personal or work email "Same RELAYING DENIED 5.1.1 error everytime" However, I can send using my Gmail acc. I have tried using the gmail outgoig settings for personal and work mail, but no joy ! Am I somehow being blocked by gmail at their end ? Any help greatly appreciated. Joe.

You can register your personal and work email addresses with your Gmail account. Check Gmail help for instructions.

If this is a corporate account, this may be a bad idea for your work email address.

Hi Christ1. Thanks for your help but It didn't really solve the issue. My work email is the main issue. I can't see how I could sent email from the Gmail acc but make it seem as though it was coming from my work email address.. Rgds.

This sounds like the work account is using the gmail account outgoing server (SMTP) when sending. So gmail deny it because they do not relay icloud through gmail smtp server.

Please confirm each mail account is using it's own outgoing server.

Right click on the mail account name in Folder Pane and select 'Settings' In left pane, click on 'Outgoing server (SMTP) You should see at least two outgoing servers listed - one per email address/mail account.

Select each one in turn and do the following: click on 'Edit' 'Description' : this field is really for your use to help identify which server is which - especially useful when you have several outgoing servers using same server details with the exception of UserName and Password. Type something to help id the different accounts. Eg: Personal, Business, or first part of email address. 'User Name' = usually full email address of mail account which will use it. So you know which mail account will use it. click on OK

When all SMTP outgoing servers have been edited, make sure each outgoing server is correctly used by the mail account. Select the mail account name in left pane. On right side near bottom - Outgoing server(SMTP) click on Drop down and make sure you select the correct SMTP server for that mail account. Repeat for all mail accounts. Click on OK

I've included a couple of images to help show where I'm talking about. Obviously my details wil be different, but the process is the same.

Please confirm when all your mail accounts are using their own smtp server.

Hi Toad-Hall. Thanks very much for your help. However, I have done all this but hasn't solved the issue. I'll just have to figure out a workaround. Rgds.
