Hi guys I set up Thunderbird some months ago and all good. Now I have had notification from my internet provider that my domain "Clear" is ending soon and I had to set up "Outlook" to receive emails going forward. I have done this and my internet provider has helped with a redirection from Clear to Outlook and also in my Thunderbird I have all my old Clear emails plus folders and also the new Outlook emails. Problem is when I open my emails it takes about 5 mins for them to pull through each day (most days just a dozen emails - nothing too big). Same when I send emails it sits and takes about a minute for the sending bar to drop off screen to send one email. I am using Trendmicro but that didnt cause a issue previously. I wonder if my IP has changed a setting? Any help really appreciated ;-)

Try to start Windows in safe mode with networking enabled. - Win10 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12376/windows-10-start-your-pc-in-safe-mode

Still in Windows safe mode, start Thunderbird in safe mode. - https://support.mozilla.org/kb/safe-mode

Does the problem go away?

Hi guys thanks for your help! Unfortunately its didnt do anything. Heres what I did 1) started computer in safe mode 2) stared Thunderbird in safe mode. Tried sending a email and said "sending error outgoing server (SMTP) smtp-m... outgoing.com is unknown. Server may be incorrectly configured. Please verify that outlook server (SMTP) settings correct and try again

1) started computer in safe mode

I guess you missed the safe mode with networking enabled part.
