When I search for my newly created website www.thegifsofchristmas.com OR the www.thegifsofchristmas.com Firefox always adds an extra www. to the website and it becomes www.www.thegifsofchristmas.com and takes me to a dnsrsearch.com page. very frustrating. No other web browser is doing this.

I need to add that I tried the about:config option and changed a number of options to "false" but to no avail.
