When I click on an email, it no longer is showing the content of the email below

Posted

Hi, I am having problems with my emails. When I click on an email, it is not showing any content in the box below its completely empty. This is from emails that were already in my inbox. New emails which have been received today are displaying ok, so I am completely confused as to what it could be as I have not changed any settings. I have more than one email address in Thunderbird and that one is ok. Anyone able to help?

If you log on to webmail account via a browser, can you see those emails on the server?

See if the indexing is out of synch. Right click on folder in Folder Pane and select 'Properties' click on 'repair folder' button click on OK

select another folder and then reselect the fixed index folder.

Report back on results.

Hi, Thanks for your advice I clicked on the repair folder button and all the emails which were showing blank have ALL disappeared completely! I've checked and not in any deleted folders anywhere so not sure what's happened to them all. Any ideas where they might have gone or how I can get them back?

Check your anti virus product logs for the deletion or quarantine of a file with the name of the folder the missing files were in. For example inbox Generally the event is after the last mangled mail.
