why is it when update firefox it stops over half your addons from working that is a downgrade not a upgrade

why is it u always push us hard to update firefox and when i do over half my addons do not work and the firefox update is always worse so that is not what i call and upgrade to firefox it is a downgrade i have firefox 27.0 and updateing is useless because u take away my add ons so why push so hard to update when it is a downgrade
