Thunderbird suddenly not applying filters automatically
Today, for no apparent reason, TB is not applying message filters to the Inbox. I made no changes to the TB configuration, and TB has been working for me for a year or two. I may have restarted TB or the computer.
Message filters work when I apply them manually to the Inbox folder (Tools menu).

4 days later--TB automatic message filtering still broken. Manual filtering okay. 52.3.0, 32-bit. Anybody there?
I guess TB once again has no support--wow, it is still a common email program!
Anyway, for no apparent reason, TB is once again automatically applying message filters to the inbox folder for me.
If it is relevant, TB crashed once yesterday when I simply closed its window. I submitted the crash report, but I assume it was ignored, as Firefox crash reports are always ignored.
Had you stopped and re-started Thunderbird in the intervening period?
I see problems with some messages not being moved correctly to the intended folder (yet others make it there) and also with running filters manually, which when they do run automatically, work perfectly. Go figure, as they say.
Sorry, restarting TB and restarting Windows were the first things I tried. It's a mystery.
