Firefox 55.0.3 (32bit) does not work after update on windows 7

As my Version 54 started to crash or showed error messages I did upgrade it to 55.0.3 (32bit) running on a 32bit Windows 7 machine. The upgrade process worked perfect, The icons stayed the same but after clicking on it nothing happens, Looking into the Task Manager shows Firefox program running?! Uninstalling it, deleting the program Folder and new Installation did not help.
