Chosen solution

Firefox for Android and Firefox on 'desktop/laptops' have completely different interfaces. Documentation for desktop Firefox does not apply to Firefox for Android. There is no customize option because there is no way to alter the placement of buttons or toolbars in Firefox for Android.

The Pocket icon is only part of desktop Firefox. You can try this extension for Firefox for Android https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/android/addon/pocket-panel/

Thanks for the reply. The pocket problem highlighted the fact that I cannot find the toolbar in Firefox for my android phone. I do not have a a 'customise' facility in the menus and others have posted similar problems.

I downloaded pocket as an app for my phone so that is ok but i would still like to know why I can't find a toolbar to customise.
