With my browser open, while visiting a site or email, when I click on a link, Firefox blocks it everytime. How do I stop that?

Any and all links that I click on while using Firefox, this pop up comes along under the header of the page, stating that Firefox has blocked this link, so I have to X out of it in order to get to that new site, even on my gmail accounts. I just started having this issue within the past two weeks, not sure if it was due to a recent update or not, but it is annoying when using my systems and delays my progress in whatever I am trying to accomplish. It just annoys me a lot, so how can I stop that from happening?

Your post is currently under Android, but is this problem on your Windows 8.1 system?

For a "desktop" version of Firefox:

  • Windows: "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options
  • Mac: "3-bar" menu button (or Firefox menu) > Preferences
  • Linux: "3-bar" menu button (or Edit menu) > Preferences

In the left column, click Advanced. Then on the right side, with the "General" mini-tab active, make sure the following is not selected (box is not checked): "Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page"

This is Les The BEST, and the pop up says that Firefox had blocked the page from being re-directed. I just updated and installed the latest version of Firefox a couple of weeks ago, and this was not happening prior to that.

Thank you, thank you very much jscher2000 for your input, that is so cool! I should have discovered that I was having the issue on Windows and not on Android, my apologies, but your sharp diligence, caught that and put me on the right Path, and thanks to you, this issue has been RESOLVED!!!
