Desktop icon for Thunderbird mysteriously changed

Why did icon change? Looks like a box with a CD in front of it. What is this? Everything else seems to be working right. (Makes me nervous) I want the old bird back.

It's just the icon choice, which you can change by shift+right-click, properties, change icon

or reinstall from http://getthunderbird.com/
