Long ago I've set up google.com as my home page, and then I setup google apps grid (in the upper right corner) too leaving only very few apps to make it clean and functional. From recently it shows gazillion of stupid things and it seems that I cannot fix it anymore as, after I clean it to my true preferences, it just go back to plenty of whatever apps (I do not need). Google seems to behave more and more intrusive. Any solution to this?

Sorry but is not Google being intrusive the way it works.

Suggesting you use Malwarebytes Adaware https://www.malwarebytes.com/adwcleaner/ and see if that helps you out. This is what suppose to give you as it sounds like malware/adware if getting whatever apps is what you called them. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-caused-malware Also suggest update FF to ver 54 though that may break some plugins and will maybe have to get them updated.

I did not want to offend Google! :-) (But it does impose changes that are sometimes more restrictive and other-times more aggressive. That is my opinion as user for many years.)

Anyway, I am attaching the snapshot to illustrate my problem better. For long I had adjusted 3x3 matrix of apps (starting with mail, ending with contacts). From recently, however, Google just added two new rows (5 apps in total) which I cannot move down in unused zone. So, I would like to know if there is a way to do that as this was the case before and for long?
