Not too sure what you mean by Firefox server issues. Are you using Firefox Sync from a Firefox Account ? That may be used to temporarily back up FIREFOX bookmarks for the purpose of Syncing them to another of your devices. The backup then is your second device.

igHome Problem: Contact igHome for help and advice. I had not heard of igHome but looking at their page they seem to have bookmarks. If you have problems with such bookmarks contact igHome.

What are the server issues you are asking mentioning and how and where did you get that information. (It looks to me as if Mozilla has changed the information provided publicly about server health it is much less detailed than previously)

If you are talking about announcements relating to this support site. That will have no impact on your bookmarks or Sync (Unless you are using bookmarks relating to the support site)

Mozilla Links & Server Issues The simplest explanation is it may have broken Firefox and support related links and bookmarks. It will not have affected your own ordinary Firefox bookmarks. This site's problem is complex. Trying to summarise it briefly it occurred because we changed the software used on the support site. Along with that the site support.mozilla.org became an alias run from elsewhere. No problem with that, but the software addressing structure was incompatible with that generated by some of the old software, and importantly broke hardcoded and in-product links.

It is unlikely to be of interest to you, but the announcement and discussion about the problem is at:

Note the mention of the words Lithium, that is the third party supplier of the support forum software and service. Kitsune is the name of our old software.

Third Party Bookmarks etc Just as a general note you would often be better using Firefox's own bookmarks rather than third party bookmarks kept on some external site. Firefox is pretty good at finding, organising, displaying, and backing up bookmarks. (care with Sync however) There have been many services that have been provided by third parties then removed think Google, Yahoo & possibly the Norton service. If you use Firefox Sync please ensure you make occasional separate manual backups of Bookmarks. Firefox sync is not fully reliable and can in some circumstances badly corrupt bookmark listings on all devices. See also

Note also now or in the future Firefox design or feature changes could result in some of these third party offerings becoming incompatible and you are then in danger of losing your information.

reminders/add item is a Google gadget that was functioning perfectly well until now. I don't think that I have gone completely mad when being informed by Firefox that they were having problems. Since that message the gadget has crashed. I have tried the above instructions but have had no joy.

Simple question, so where's the simple answer ? As opposed to confusing it all with gobbly gook !

Did you just upgrade Firefox? Could be a compatibility issue. Check the gadget for updates.

Its a Firefox issue. On opening Firefox I have now received this message... 1. Password reset function has been restored. If you requested a password reset and did not receive the email, please try again. 2. If you are seeing an older version of your page, your data was not recoverable. Please select the gadgets you want from the directory. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience. We have taken several steps to ensure this does not happen again.

Those are messages from the website. They appear in other browsers, too (Chrome and IE attached as examples).
