On some web pages, when I click on the right mouse button in order to open the content in a new tab, the page opens the content in the same page I am on. This happens only to a few web-pages.

A right-click should bring up a menu, not do anything until you select from the menu.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
