I want to open up new tabs with a new window.

Posted

When using my wheel mouse, I would like to click links and have the new tab open up as a new window. I believe my mozilla just updated and I cannot find the TOOLS in option. Is there any place where I can locate this? Thanks for your help.

Just to confirm, yes, a new tab which opens up to a new window. :) NOT a new tab within the same window.

Did you ever successfully change that before? I think the wheel always launches a link in a new tab in the same window.

To access the Tools menu (to get to the Options page), you can tap the Alt key or F10 function key to activate the classic menu bar temporarily. To keep it displayed permanently, you can then use View > Toolbars > Menu Bar.

How about left clicking a link to open a new window. Is that possible?

If you hold down the Shift key when clicking a link, Firefox should direct the link to open in a new window.

(Holding down Ctrl directs it to a new tab.)
