Can't check mail...Sending of password did not succeed?
Hi, I'm receiving this message from Thunderbird "Sending of password for user (email) did not succeed. Mail server pop.broadband.rogers.com responded:". There is no further message to that giving what the response was from the server. I recently changed my password. It worked for a while after that but just gave that message. I cleared the password manager and it's still giving that message. How to fix?

Sorry moved the question to the other category.
Since this question is apparently about Thunderbird I moved it from the Firefox support forum to the Thunderbird forum. aw

Thank you for your reply! I checked the list of suggestions and the internet service provider isn't down, the account is configured correctly, and from their list the antivirus software is not affecting it. I can log on to the webmail version but am still getting the "Sending of password for user (email) did not succeed. Mail server pop.broadband.rogers.com responded:" error message when trying to send/receive in Thunderbird. Any suggestions?
Another person has this exact same problem, so there may be a problem with Roger's POP servers.
