This is for a Win 10 laptop. At least since the latest Firefox update and (I think) the one before that, I am able to access very few websites that require a login. When I fill in the login information and click to login, in some cases absolutely nothing happens. In other cases the cursor flies to the upper left corner of the screen and nothing else happens. It is so bad that on Firefox I could not create the account I needed in order to post this. The cursor flew to the upper left corner this time. This question is therefore posted from Edge.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).

Is the problem still there?

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

  • Options/Preferences -> Advanced -> General -> Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

You need to close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.

You can check if there is an update for your graphics display driver and check for hardware acceleration related issues.
