firefox browser closes when I use pipelight to enable silverlight in Linux Mint 18

I am running linux mint 18 I have wine installed. I am using pipelight to in place of silverlight, I have a user agent installed because my MS based stock charting program, TC2000 from worden brothers, requires silverlight for their browser version.

When I enable silverlight, from the terminal mode, sudo pipelight-plugin --enable silverlight, Firefox closes, When I try to restart firefox, nothing happens. If I disable silverlight, again from the terminal, sudo pipelight-plugin --disable silverlight, I can restart firefox.

Until I can figure out how to use the mono .net for the desktop version of TC2000, I need to get silverlight working.
