firefox has become way too restrictive

I'm a developer and have used Firefox ever since it first appeared. I love Firefox, however, it has become too restrictive and has major problems with Flash Player. You should be allowing people to run questionable add-ons/extensions as many of us understand the risks and have to use these features regardless. It has become so bad that its hindering my job.
