Session restore fail - if I close FF, frefox.exe just sits there and never ends; if I force the task to end session is not restored; if it crashes restore works

I am using Firefox 49.0.2

For about a week FF has often been crashing a few minutes are I tell it to shut down. From watching the task manager and doing some research I am pretty sure this happens during or after it is creating sessionstore. js. But whether it crashed or not, session restore worked properly.

But as of today, if I have more than 5 or so tabs openwhen I shut down FF,, after appearing to be doing something for a while the task firefox.exe just sit there, seemingly forever, without doing any processing. If I get tired of waiting and force the task to end, judging by what I am presented with the next time I start FF sessionstore. js is either empty or not there, because the tabs from last time are not recreated when I open FF again, and if I type about:sessionrestore in the location bar, no tabs are presented to me to restore.

As I normally have at least 100 tabs open each session. I have wasted hours on this already today.

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

Using your mouse, mark the most resent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box below and paste them in.

(Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the IDs. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like.)

Fred

It seems to have cleared itself up; I have had several successful session restores now. Are you still interested in getting the data you requested for research purposes?

Crash reports below

Two thins 1) Just to make sure, when I was having this problem on the weekend, if a crash happened during shutdown of FF, Session Restore worked, but if I had to force the process to shut down using the Task Manager after it stopped working, Session Restore did not work 2) Session restore has been working for more than24 hours now, with one exception - I left FF on overnight, and the latest crash occurred when I shut it down normally this morning. This time Session Restore took me back to 2 shutdowns ago rather than to where I was when the I exited just before the crash occurred during shutdown.
