Can't restore favicons after reloading bookmarks

Firefox 49.0.1, OpenSuSE 13.2, KDE 4.11.5 After restoring my bookmarks from backup my favicons all disappeared. Favicon Restorer is no longer available, but, no sweat, they should be restored after visiting the site(s), but only some of them get restored -- others appear in the tab bar, but never appear in the bookmarks. Is there any way to force Firefox to restore the bookmark favicons?
