Can I uninstall FF from a synced notebook and keep tabs etc. on new notebook?

I bought a brand new notebook and have installed FF with the intention of moving my tabs etc. to it from my old notebook.

Can I disconnect my account on the old notebook without it effecting what I've synced?

Yes. Disconnecting from Sync won't affect any other devices that are connected to Sync - nothing will be removed on any device.
