FireFox was crashing so I re-installed and its even worse than worse than before. It crashes 30+ times a day and stalls (blue circle of death) at least every other page. What the heck is going on? I am using Window 7 and FF Browser 49.0.1. I have removed all add-ons except adobe which I need for work (librarian here). Would Adobe be messing it up this badly. I have made a couple adjustments to the browser settings for specific sites which they suggested (library related).

I am at wits end. My employers uses a very modified IE11 which I find clunky to say the least. I have dispensation to use FireFox and Chrome. I really love FireFox and need it to work since all my bookmarks are here.

Please help me before I am forced to use Chrome or IE.

Thank-you in advance, Deweydecimal13501

We're sorry to hear that Firefox is crashing. In order to assist you better, please follow the steps below to provide us crash IDs to help us learn more about your crash.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

  1. Enter about:crashes in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. A Submitted Crash Reports list will appear, similar to the one shown below.
  2. Copy the 5 most recent Report IDs that start with bp- and then go back to your forum question and paste those IDs into the "Post a Reply" box.

Note: If a recent Report ID does not start with bp- click on it to submit the report.

(Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the IDs. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like.)

A lot of times the crash report message box seemed to crash as well. It would just just sit there. So many times it just looked liked nothing got reported to FF

I hope I get a resolution since this is my main browser at work. I really dislike IE (my IT has made us use a very modified/no apps allowed version) and the Chrome is just clunky for the work I do compared to FireFox.

Thank-you in advance,
