After Win10 anniversary update, Firefoy lost my open tabs and shows firstrun page instead

I usually have more than 20 open tabs which are persisted if I close Firefox. After one step of the "cumulative" anniversary update for Windows 10, Firefox started with the first run page, no other tab was showing. The bookmarks on the other hand seem to be still there. Is there a possibility to recover the list of opened tabs?
