my tiles have disappeared

I do not know what I could have done to cause this, as I do very little to customize my browser beyond the bookmarks took bar. Somehow I have caused a new tab to open to a completely blank page. How do I get the tiles back?

You can add tiles by dragging them from your bookmarks or history into a new tab page &nbsp .......

thank you, but I have been to this page already. It didn't help me much.

Sometimes when I open a new a new tab, the tiles will flash for half a second and then disappear. the page become completely white. There is no place to pin a tab.

The issue appears to have been caused by the add on popup blocker ultimate.
