Why do I get an alarming message from what looks like Firefox when I am on facebook and the site will not let me exit out. I have to turn off my computer.

The screen turns complete orange with the firefox logo and warns of something dire about to happen. Since I don't think this is legitimate, I try to exit but the only way I can exit is to turn off my computer.

If it's like the fake FBI/Interpol browser lock page, This add-on can stop such pages; disallow Script Button {web link} The Disallow Script button looks like a letter "M" and the title is the Minus Script, drag and drop the button on a toolbar. If the button is not displayed then nothing operates, except rules for plugins.
