Firefox eating too much bandwidth

Recently my Firefox has been sending/downloading data from these IPs:

209.197.3.20 192.229.237.98

A quick google search of these IPs reveal that they are from

- Highwinds Network Group - EdgeCast Networks

It connects to these IPs even though I am not doing anything on Firefox, and hogging my bandwidth.

Am I missing something? Is this built in Firefox function or do you guys think I am hosting a malware or something?
