Can't clear websites that show up labeled yesterday and today on my ipad.

Followed the help instructions but I can't find the the Clear Everything dialog to hit the Clear like it says to. Just get an OK or Cancel Box. I click ok, back out of settings, click done, but the list of websites still shows up and keeps growing. Just installed Firefox on my Ipad yesterday, Have had it on my desktop for several years now, old Windows XP, but I just love your web browser. Want to be able to sync my bookmarks from my desktop to my ipad next but am concerned about keeping this history of websites clean and deleted.
